Privacy Policy for the Norwegian Customs App
No personal data is recorded in the Norwegian Customs app, except for information from the bank card used to pay fees, if you choose to do so.
The Norwegian Customs app is the Norwegian Customs' application for mobile phones and tablets that individuals can use to calculate whether the alcohol and tobacco goods they are carrying are over or under the duty-free allowance and to declare goods that exceed the quota.
No personal data is recorded in the Norwegian Customs app, except for information from the bank card used to pay fees, if you choose to do so. The information is securely stored by our external payment provider, Swedbank. The purpose of storing this information is to save users from having to re-enter their card number each time they need to pay. A two-step payment solution is used for your security when paying by card. You must confirm the purchase with BankID.
Vipps is also a possible payment method in the Norwegian Customs app. Read the privacy statement for Vipps here.
The Norwegian Customs uses the App Center statistics tool to analyze user numbers and traffic in the Norwegian Customs app, so that we can further develop and improve the application. We log which operating system is used, the date and time of use, and navigation data. The Norwegian Customs neither logs nor stores data on traffic and usage patterns in a way that makes it possible to identify individual users.
The Norwegian Customs app does not access the phone's identity.
The responsible unit for the Norwegian Customs app is the Department for User Dialogue in the Goods Movement Division of the Norwegian Customs.
